Júlia Farrés-Llongueras continues to shine on stage after a period of reflection that has accompanied her professional activity in recent months. During this time, she has focused on perfecting her vocal and interpretative skills, allowing her to refine the foundations of a repertoire that resonates with her quest for self-expression.
This meticulous work provides her with the confidence and authenticity needed to take on larger projects within the musical heritage, enabling her to establish a powerful connection with the audience. Her renewed stage presence radiates a sense of security that makes her a soprano of great strength and a recognized voice on the national stage, solidifying her presence internationally.
In recent months, Júlia has embarked on a musical journey filled with significant achievements. She had the honor of performing in A. Caldara’s opera Atenaide at the Festival Internacional de Música Antigua y Barroca de Peñíscola, where the echo of her voice resonated in a space rich in history. Additionally, her tour with the Orquestra de Cambra de Catalunya was a tribute to Baroque music, with her performance of Vivaldi’s motet O qui coelis terraeque serenitas and a piece by D. Terradellas. Bach's Cantata 172 in Berlin (Berliner Dom) opened new doors in her career, thanks to her commitment to music and her desire to explore new horizons.
This past July, she presented two major accomplishments: Schumann’s Myrten cycle, which consolidates her as a Lieder singer, and a song and opera recital at the Claustro de Sant Cugat with pianist Stanislav Angelov, where she performed works by Gounod, Bellini, and Dvořák. This recital marks a step forward in an area she wishes to continue expanding.
In September, she also began a new collaboration with guitarist José Luis Ruiz del Puerto, with whom she gave a recital at the Festival Internacional Pepe Romero in Málaga. In this concert, they explored the repertoire of composer Lorenzo Palomo, who passed away a few months ago. In this recital, she performed parts of his cycles Mi jardín solitario and Madrigal y cinco canciones sefardíes, as well as works by Joaquín Rodrigo, Tárrega, and Ernesto Cordero.
At this moment in her career, Júlia Farrés-Llongueras carries with her a musical heritage that celebrates the past while looking toward a future full of possibilities.
